We organize “GDPR/RODO as the opportunity – Fintech Dragons’ Day” – the conference connected with the fintech startup competition. The first edition took place on 29th Jun. at Centrum Kreatywnosci Targowa in Warsaw.Please check dragons, speakers and the agenda. Awards for the top three startups:
The overall winner receives 15 hours of legal advice, runner-up 10 hours and the last place on the podium wins 5 hours of legal advice.

14:50 – Privacy by design & privacy by default in software development – Krzysztof Stachlewski, CEO of Almondata, a company providing GDPR-compliance services. A Software Architect, graduate of Lodz University of Technology with MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems. Over the past 15 years he was engaged in various software projects ranging from digital TV to crypto-currencies and national lotteries, having worked his way from the position of a software developer to the one of systems architect and manager. Krzysztof is also running his own software development services company, with emphasis on databases and web development.
15:10 – The rules of personal data processing under GDPR – challenges and opportunities – Michał Sas, a lawyer specializing in new technologies and data processing, who acquired experience at some top Polish startup-oriented law firms. He is also a member of Boson Identities, an entity building an e-identity platform and also providing innovative KYC / AML solutions.
15:30 – Legal issues in fintech (GDPR perspective) – Konrad M. Mazur – law practitioner and scientist, prepares a PhD thesis on the trade secrets protection topic at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. His professional experience includes mainly legal service for the IT industry. Developing his own law company, also works as independent GDPR & ICT law consultant for leading law firms from Warsaw, Poznan, Torun and Bydgoszcz. Konrad is also a Data Protection Officer at an IT company. He loves conceptual work, breaking the schemas and looking for creative solution on legal issues. Also the author of numerous scientific publications, including articles on the privacy law (esp. GDPR and IT law issues), protection of trade secrets, author of scientific monography A Polish-language community of organised crime on the darknet.

Greg Albrecht, Executive Advisor, Investor, Keynote Speaker. General Partner at Albrecht&Partners and Venture Partner at VC Data Ventures fund. He has been launching new brands and products to the market for 15 years and building companies from scratch for 10 years. For the last 5 years he has been involved in the startup sector as a mentor, advisor and investor. Since 2014 he performs as a keynote speaker during conferences and closed speeches for corporations.
